EXOUSIA AND DUNAMIS

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (NIV)

The Lord Jesus said in His Name we can drive out demons; speak in new tongues; pick up snakes with our hands; and when we drink deadly poison it will not hurt us at all; we will place our hands on sick people, and they will get well.
But how is this possible? Through His authority and power. The authority and power He gave us is actually Exousia and Dunamis in Greek word respectively.

Exousia means lawful authority to occupy a position of superiority. While Dunamis is a divine and dynamic ability or power to cause changes. Exousia is being lawful to do something, while Dunamis is an ability or potency to do something. If you have Dunamis but don't have Exousia you can't do what your ability (Dunamis) can because you don't have the lawful right (Exousia) to carry it out. Someone has ability but don't have the authority to execute what he can. Another has authority (in a lawful position) but don't have the ability (capability) to cause a change. But the Lord Jesus gave us both Exousia and Dunamis. Hallelujah! 

The word translated authority in Matthew 28:18 is Exousia, 'Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority (Exousia) in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
And the Greek word translated power in Acts 1:8 is Dunamis, 'But you will receive power (Dunamis) when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Jesus sent us with His authority. By this He gave us the lawful authority to occupy and function in His position of superiority over Satan and his cohorts, the world and its system. And gave us the power and ability to cause changes as we deem fit. We not only occupy a lawful position but also has power to decree a thing and have it established unto us.

Thank you Dear Lord Jesus for given me your authority and ability to carry out your will and work in the earth, Amen.

Chapter two INSPIRATION Another thing you will find on your way to the Top is inspiration. Inspiration means an arousal or being stir up from within to take an action or embark on a course. If you don't have it getting to the Top is impossible. You will rely on inspiration to go higher and higher in life. If you are not inspired or stirred up from within to be about anything don't venture into it, it might fail. If you are not inspired to get to the Top in your endeavor, career or profession you may never get there. Whatever you do and wherever you go never leave inspiration behind, if you do you may get stranded on your way. Inspiration pushes you to continue even inspite of challenges.
