YOUR SHIELD, GLORY AND LIFTER

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. (KJV)

God is your shield, glory and lifter up of your head.
Shield is a protective armour against the attacks of the enemies. And God Himself is your shield. He is round about you as a shield, He nullifies all the attacks against you. You never need worry about all that your enemies are planning against you, only take advantage of your shield; God Almighty.

He is your glory. That is, the beauty of your life. And He is your beautifier. He is the essence of your life. He gives value to your life. Someone may have everything materially but without God he has no glory. God gives you all good things including material possession. But your ultimate value and glory is His life in you.

He is the lifter up of your head. That is, He is the One who honours you. Men may try to dishonour you, but God honours you. Men may try to bury your head and doesn't want any good thing to be seen your life. But God lifts up your head and want you to be known. God is the One who promotes and announces you. He lifts you out of shame, pain, hardship, penury and puts you in a place of honour, glory and abundance.

Look to Him alone for shield, glory and upliftment. He alone does this without mockery.

CONFESSION

The Lord is my shield against my enemies. He is my glory; the glory of my life. He is the lifter up of my head in honour. He lifts my feet out of the muddy clay and set me upon a rock to sit with kings. Hallelujah!

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end. In the battles of life you must be ready to fight to finish.  A righteous person may fall many times but rises again. Falling is not a defeat if one is willing to rise up and fight to finish.
