BURDEN IS ESSENTIAL

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (NIV)

It's important to take note of what the Lord Jesus said in this above scriptures. He invites the weary and the burdened, and offers them rest. But He didn't stop there He asks them to take up His yoke and said "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." He didn't say there is no burden but that the burden is light.

Burden is essential. Someone has to have a burden, a concern, a pursuit. Something you live for. Everyone in the world has a burden. Everyone is living for something. But there are those whose burden wearies and are bent over with loads of life. Jesus says "my burden is light." 

Instead of carrying the burden and loads of life, the concern and worries to be what you want, have what want, be where you want, why not carry His burden to be what He wants, have what He wants for you and be where He wants you? This is lighter, and sure better.

Whether or not you carry His burden you will carry a burden. Choose to carry His burden instead. Live for Him. This kind of burden is essential, let your heart burn for the Kingdom, pursue it and live for it. Have a burden for the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER

Thank You Dear Lord for the blessings of carrying your burden, doing what you would in the earth. Being who you want me, where you want me, having what you want for me; carrying your concerns and living your dream among men, furthering the course of the Gospel. Amen.
