REVELATION GUIDES

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. (NIV)

Restraint means restriction. Revelation here means insight into the true state of things. What do you see? What is your vision? What you see is your revelation. What is the true state of your health? Do you live your life based on what people say? You have to have revelation, knowledge and insight to guide your life. Without which you would cast off restraint.

A life that is not restrained shipwrecks. Your life has to be guided; not every way is a way, every direction doesn't leads home. The only thing that can successfully guide your life is the Word of God. It is only the Word that can give you true revelation, knowledge, insights and principles to live by. 

Another word to consider with the word 'revelation' in our theme scripture is principle. Through the Word you develop principles to guide your life. You don't just live but have principles which restrains and guides you. The lack of this has resulted in chaotic life for some. Avoid pitfalls in life by living with revelation from God's Word. 

PRAYER

Thank You precious Father for your Word which you have given me to know, understand and apply in life. Through your Word I develop principles and receive revelation to guide my life, and to chart my course successfully, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. (NIV) An Angel speaking to Zechariah about the birth of John the Baptist and his ministry said many things and one of them was "the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous." His ministry would turn the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous. The wisdom of the righteous is a mindset of the righteous that pre-dictated their thoughts, words and actions.
