HE GAVE LIFE NOT RULES

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. (NIV)

A lot of Christians struggle to live the Christian Life because they see God's word as rules to be obeyed. The word of God is not a rule but a statement of the reality of who you are. God's word says walk in righteousness because you are His rightousness. He wouldn't tell you to do something that is not in you already. The Word only ask you to express yourself.

Our theme scripture says "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life." Do you have the Son? Do you believe in Jesus? If yes, then you have eternal life. What are you supposed to do? Live it; live eternal life. Live beyond the human life. Don't look for rules in the Bible to govern you, give vent to eternal life; it is more than rules.
The reason Jesus came to this world was to give us eternal life -- John 10:10. His birth, death, burial and resurrection was to this end. Jesus brought life. If that's the ultimate reason He came, then that's what you should live for. Consciously live eternal life. It's simple!

Living eternal life would have been difficult if it were not inherent in you. But you have this life as your nature. All you need is the consciousness, the Word, the Name and the Spirit. When you learn to walk in these you would live eternal life naturally without struggle. He gave you life not rules.

CONFESSION

Thank You Father for given me eternal life in Christ Jesus. I have the Son of God I have eternal life. Eternal life is inherent in me; I was born with it. Through the Word, in His Name and by the Spirit I understand and give expression to eternal life; triumphing and dominating life's circumstances and adversities, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
