PRESS ON

Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

When you understand the call of God for your life you would discover there is a goal (a mark) to reach, a prize (reward) to win, and then the need to press on because there is something to lose. 

Those who don't know or understand God's purpose for their life don't realise that there is something to lose. You only know what is at stake when you find yourself in God's purpose and calling. 
When we talk about God's calling we don't mean called to be a Pastor or Prophet. It's simply a call to represent God in the earth; to think, talk and do as He would. 

Hence there is a goal, a mark you must reach and a prize to win. And that requires a continuous pressing. You will have to press on and keep pressing on. Until we leave to heaven our work is not done. While we are here it is for work. Pressing here implies exerting energy, focus and determination. You have to be determined and resolute to reach your goal.

Find out what more you can do in the work of God and press on at it. Until we reach we are not there. Keep working for the Lord. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. I refuse to be distracted, perturbed or discouraged. I am strengthened in faith to press on and fulfill what the Lord has called me to, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

You have to learn how to move on from disappointment, failings, defeat, unfavorable circumstances and opposition. You will have to move on and move away from some oppositions and enemies. (NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th SEPTEMBER 2025 IF THE DEAD CAN RISE 2 Corinthians 1:9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. (NIV) The scriptures declare that our God raises the dead. When someone dies it seems it's all over, that nothing more can be done. It suggest that death is the final. But the Apostle Paul says in his letter in our theme scripture "we rely on God who raises the dead."  If the dead can rise then nothing shall be impossible. What men dread the most is death, and through the fear of death many are still held in bondage today.
