HE WANTS YOU TO RECEIVE

John 16:23-24 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (NIV)

Jesus said "my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. ...Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."
He wants you to receive. When you ask the Father He gives, He gives always when you ask in the Name of Jesus. But some don't always receive.

From Jesus' statement it is simple to understand that He wants you to receive when you pray. That tells us that when we don't receive the problem is not with God, whether or not He gives it. Jesus told us the Father will give us whatever we ask. Why do people not receive when they ask?

Receiving when you pray is your responsibility. Otherwise Jesus wouldn't have asked us to receive. When you ask God for anything it is made available to you in the spirit. Through the eyes of faith you take hold of it. This is not the same thing as hoping for it, but seeing it tangibly through your spirit and receiving. Then you declare with your mouth that you have gotten it.

When you ask God for something He stretches out His hand to give you, and you have to stretch out your hand too to receive. That's it. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

I thank You Father that whatever I ask in the Name of Jesus you give me. Through the light of your word and my faith I see and take hold of what you have given to me. I receive them, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
