OUR ORIGIN IS IN HEAVEN

 

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,” — Philippians 3:20 (NIV)

 

Beloved, the greatest tragedy of the Christian life is not failing; it is forgetting who we are. When the storms of life rage and the world tries to label you by your past, your finances, or your circumstances, the Bible reminds you to look upward.

 

Paul tells us in Philippians 3:20 that our true citizenship is in Heaven. This means you are not merely an earthling struggling to do good; you are a born-again citizen of Glory temporarily visiting this earth. Your origin is in Heaven. Your nature is a new creation, aligned with the heart of God.

 

Because our home is Heaven, we do not act like the world. We walk with exceptionalism, knowing that the King of Kings awaits us. We eagerly await our Savior—not just for the rescue He will bring, but for the glorious homecoming He promises.

 

Until He returns, live out your heavenly citizenship on earth. Speak His language, walk in His authority, and reflect His glory. You are a transplant from Heaven—walk like royalty!

 

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the miracle of the New Creation. I reject every label of the earth that contradicts Your Word. I receive my heavenly citizenship by faith, and I pray that my life today would reflect the authority and glory of my home in Heaven. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
