RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE AND JOY

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." – Romans 14:17 (NIV)

The world measures success by externals: what you consume, what you own, what you experience. But Jesus redefines the Kingdom. It is not about "eating and drinking"—the outward rituals, the visible religious performance, the temporary satisfaction of the flesh. The Kingdom of God is an inward reality, a supernatural atmosphere that follows you wherever you go.

Righteousness: your standing, not your striving
Righteousness in the Kingdom is not a reward for good behavior; it is a gift received by faith. You are righteous because Christ is righteous, and you are in Him. This righteousness is not a heavy yoke of performance; it is your new nature. Walk in it confidently.

Peace: the calm in the storm
Kingdom peace is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of God in the midst of it. It is the quiet confidence that your Father is on the throne, working all things for your good. This peace guards your heart when the world is in chaos.

Joy: the strength of the new creation
Joy is not happiness. Happiness depends on what happens; joy depends on who lives within you. The Holy Spirit is a wellspring of joy that no circumstance can drain. This joy is your strength, your testimony, and your weapon against despair.

Today, shift your focus from the external to the internal. When stress rises, do not chase after solutions first; chase after the Kingdom. Ask yourself: "Am I walking in righteousness? Am I resting in peace? Am I drawing on joy?" Let these three mark your day.

PRAYER
Father, thank You that Your Kingdom is not about outward rules, but inward power. I choose today to walk in the righteousness You have given me, to rest in Your peace that surpasses understanding, and to overflow with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Let my life be a demonstration of Your Kingdom on earth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end.
