HAVE THE ATTITUDE OF CHRIST

 

"In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." (Philippians 2:5-7, NIV)

 

True greatness is never found in the pursuit of power, but in the pursuit of humility. Jesus Christ, though He possessed the very nature of God and held perfect equality with the Father, did not cling to His rights for personal gain. He did not use His authority to be served; instead, He emptied Himself. He laid aside the display of His glory to take on the form of a servant, becoming human to draw near to us.

 

In our daily relationships, the world tells us to fight for our rights and demand recognition. But the believer is called to a higher way. Do we harbor a spirit of entitlement, or are we ready to serve? Let us cultivate the mindset of Jesus—radically humble, looking to the needs of others, and willing to take the lowest place for the sake of love. Blessed be God!

 

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your incredible humility and for making Yourself nothing for my sake. Forgive me when I am selfish or demanding. Give me the attitude of Christ today—a servant's heart, a humble spirit, and a willingness to love others without keeping score. In Your mighty name, Amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end.
