DON'T NURTURE SELFISH AMBITION

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." — Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)

Beloved, the flesh whispers a dangerous lie: that promotion comes by pushing others down. But the Kingdom of God operates on a higher law—the law of love and humility.

Selfish ambition is a poison that corrupts the heart and fractures relationships. It makes you a competitor instead of a collaborator, a taker instead of a giver. But Christ calls us to a different path. He calls us to value others above ourselves, to look beyond our own interests and serve the interests of others. This is not weakness; it is the very nature of the New Creation.

When you lay down your vanity, God lifts you in His time and His way. When you serve others with humility, you reflect the mind of Christ, who emptied Himself to make us rich. Do not nurture selfish ambition. Instead, cultivate a heart that finds joy in the success of others. That is the path to true greatness. Glory to God!

 

PRAYER:

Father, I renounce every trace of selfish ambition and vain conceit in my life. I have the mind of Christ—a heart of humility and service. Let me value others above myself and look out for their interests as You look out for mine. In Jesus' name, Amen.

He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room and we will flourish in the land." (NIV) In life you have to learn to always move on. You have to learn how to move on from disappointment, failings, defeat, unfavorable circumstances and opposition. You will have to move on and move away from some oppositions and enemies.
