CHRIST IS YOUR LIFE

Colossians 3:3-4 "For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." (NIV)

Notice the order of these verses. You died. Your life was buried with Christ. But the grave did not keep you — your new life was raised with Him and is now hidden with Christ in God. That hiddenness is not obscurity; it is protection. While the world measures you by works, circumstances, and man's opinions, your true self is concealed in the safest place in all existence: the heart of God Himself.

And then Paul delivers the most staggering truth in all Scripture: Christ is your life. Not a gift you carry, not a virtue you maintain, not a relationship you manage — He is the very life you live. You do not strive to make Him shine in you; His appearing will be your appearing. The same glory that surrounds the Son of God surrounds you, because you are hidden in Him.

So whatever today brings, you are not exposed. Your life is not in the marketplace, in your account, in your achievements, or in your failures. It is with Christ, in God — safe, sealed, and secure. Live today from that hiddenness, and walk confidently toward the day when what is hidden will be unveiled in glory.

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus, I stand on the truth that I died with Christ and that my life is now hidden with Him in You. Guard my heart from seeking my identity in this world, and teach me daily that Christ — not my works, not my circumstances — is my life. Keep me secure in that hiddenness, and let me walk today with the assurance that when He appears, I will appear with Him in glory. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end.
