GIVEN A BODY FOR A CAUSE


Hebrews 10:5-6 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. (NIV)


Jesus was with God the Father before He came into this world. He was the Word of God and was in the beginning with God -- John 1:1. When He came into the world He put on a human body. And He did that for a reason. The Jesus the Jews saw was not all that He was. He only tabernacled Himself in that body. He was given a body for a cause.


He came from heaven to be the payment for man's sin. And He needed a human body to accomplish that. He came to be an atoning sacrifice for man's sin. All the sacrifices offered according to the law could not take away sin nor atone for it. Jesus came into a body prepared for Him to that effect -- to take away sin.

Hebrews 10:7-9 Then I said, ’Here I am —it is written about me in the scroll — I have come to do your will, my God.’" First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" —though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second.


The will of God was to take away sin once and for all through Jesus Christ. That is the reason He put on a human body to fulfill what was written about Him in book. 

Just like Jesus it is written about you in the book. And just like Him you put on this body for that cause. You are not your body. You are inside your body; your body is a house. You dwell in this body for a cause. If you diligently study the scripture you would find out what is written about you which God expect you to fulfill.


CONFESSION


Like Jesus it is written about me in the Holy scriptures. And through my diligent study of the Word I find out my cause for being. Father I have come to fulfill what is written about me in your Word helped by your Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
