IN SEARCH FOR VALUE


Luke 12:15 And he said to them, Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.(ESV)


Jesus said one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions, yet many pride and value themselves and others based on their possessions. Their definition of value is based on material possessions. How sad that is!


Man always want to be valued and esteemed. No one ever wanted to be seen as nothing, everyone likes to be something. But that's because God created man with value. However, some people do not know the dimension of that value. They feel a vacuum when they are not valued, so they are constantly in search of value. That's the reason for most of the things they do.


Some people are constantly in search of value in education, politics, jobs, lifestyle, marriage, business, fashion etc. None of these are bad in themselves. For example nothing is wrong getting married, getting a job, being in politics, but everything is wrong when you get married, get a job or in politics to gain value for yourself. The quest for value is the reason people create class for themselves. They say "such and such person is not in my class." They crave value.


They are constantly in search of value. It shows in their dressing, speech, efforts, even the kind of jobs they do. It's the reason for all the pride and resentment in the world -- value.


Only the manufacturer of a product can give the actual value. God created you in Christ Jesus, only He can tell your real value. You cost God Jesus' life. Jesus is your value. Don't fight to be honoured, valued and esteemed. It's unnecessary. You are highly honoured, valued and esteemed by God!


PRAYER


Father I thank you for valuing me with the life of Jesus. Thank you for I am highly honoured, valued, esteemed, favoured and blessed by you in Christ Jesus. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
