IF THE LORD DOES NOT HELP YOU

2 Kings 6:26-27 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, "Help me, my lord the king!" The king replied, "If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?" (NIV)

It's important to know that only God helps a man. Even when a fellow man helps you it is only an extension of God's help. So it's no use setting your focus on man to help you, if the Lord does not help you no man however great or rich can.

A woman wanted justice and cried to the king of Israel. His response was "If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?"
He was simply telling the woman I cannot do anything for you, only God can. Actually the king himself needed help at the time. 

You see the people you look to for help also need help themselves. At times they are in a more difficult situation than you are and require greater help. Everyone however great, rich or influential needs help. Only God doesn't. 
People may not tell you the extent of their challenges but everyone does have challenges. Only God doesn't. That simply means only God can sufficiently and without stress help you.

Learn to look to the mountains where help truly comes from. 
Psalms 121:1-3 I lift up my eyes to the mountains — where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip — he who watches over you will not slumber;

CONFESSION

My help comes from the Lord. He may use men and circumstances to help me but my help originates from Him. Therefore I lift up my eyes to the mountains — where my help comes from. My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let my foot slip — He who watches over me will not slumber nor sleep. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
