YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF CHRIST
Ephesians 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (KJV)
Apostle Paul made the above statement in his letter to the church at Ephesus. He said to them "when you read my letter you will understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ."
The Greek word translated "knowledge" in the above verse is "Sunesis." Sunesis means comprehension, insight and understanding. So what Apostle Paul said is simply, 'you will understand my comprehension, insight and understanding of the mystery of Christ when you read my letter. Apostle Paul had great understanding of the mystery of Christ. He received great abundance of revelation. That's why he did so much for the Gospel.
What's your understanding of Christ? Not just what others said about Christ. What is your own sunesis? He said when you read you will understand my sunesis of Christ. He had his own comprehension of Christ; his own conviction.
What you know will propel and compel you to action. You can't really live contrary to the truth of the Gospel if you truly know and understand the mystery of Christ. Seek to know more. More knowledge is progress. This determines how you relate with God and how much you would do for the Kingdom. The work of the Kingdom is by knowledge; understanding the mystery of Christ is paramount. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Holy Spirit my mind and heart are open to your knowledge. Help me to know more of the mystery of Christ. I desire a greater comprehension, insight and understanding into the mystery of Christ and to live by it, in Jesus' name. Amen.
