BE READY FOR OPPORTUNITIES

1 Kings 18:44 The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea." So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, ’Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’" (NIV)

For three and half years it had not rained in Israel. Elijah informed King Ahab that a heavy was about to come down. And then he went off to pray. He prayed until cloud as small as a man's hand rose. It was about to rain. He sent his servant to King Ahab, saying "get ready your chariot and go down before the rain stops you." King Ahab like other people earnestly waited for rain over three years but he didn't know he had to prepare for its arrival. He ought to be at Jezreel. But he didn't know it.

You see, it's not enough to wait, you have to be prepared for whatever you are waiting for. How long you waited is not as important as how well you waited. Just because you have waited for long doesn't mean you are ready. Preparation is a conscious act, and it's a process. Be ready for opportunities. It might take long to come but it will. The only sad news is if you are not ready when it does come.

There are opportunities which are once in a season, some periodically, some once in a lifetime. A missed opportunity has an effect. You see, God prepare us for opportunities. He doesn't need to inform you but He does that. God could train you for ten years just for one opportunity because skillfulness is required in handling opportunity.

Every opportunity has a time frame; it elapse. No opportunity ever stayed forever. It's for a moment. It's a sojourner, only the wise and smart invite and grab it into their home. Prepare and be ready for opportunities. Glory To God!

PRAYER

Father I thank you for preparing me for opportunities. Thank you for helping me to recognize opportunities. Thank you for helping me to take advantage of opportunities. Thank You Father, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
