THE MATURE BODY OF HIM

Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (NIV)

The church which is the body of Christ cannot successfully carry out her responsibilities untill she grows to maturity. And that growth only comes by understanding, speaking and living the truth in love. Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

There is the expectation of maturity for everyone who comes into Christ, the head. Let us take individual Christian as an example. If a Christian is not mature in the things of God there is a lot God cannot do with him even though He desires to. 
Jesus is the head of His body of which you are a part of. Instructions comes from the head (the brain) to other parts of the body. If the hand is broken it cannot carry out the instruction passed from the brain to take up an object.

This scenero is similar to a Christian who is not mature in the body of Christ. Though Christ desires to do a lot through him he would be limited. When the head (Christ) passes instruction to him he doesn't have the ability to carry it out. Don't be this way! Every Christian should desire to grow to become the mature body of Him in every respect, and not only to desire but also to take corresponding actions.

The Lord needs mature members of Him to carry out His dream, vision and plans for men. Another Important thing that facilitates growth in the body of Christ is when everyone does their work. You are a part of Christ and you have a work to actively be about in your local church, get yourself into the work it will aid your growth and that of others in your local church.

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus, I yield myself to your Word and Spirit to grow into a matured part of Christ. And as I speak and live the truth my growth is rapid and solid, and by this I am able to express Christ as I should not only in the Church but also to the unsaved world. Amen.

Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
