YOU NEED MORE THAN FOOD


Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: ’Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ " (NIV)


Food is for your body. The Word is for your spirit. You have inward self and outward self. 2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.


What renews the inward? The Word of God and the Spirit of God. Apostle Paul said in the above scripture that "Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."

Outwardly they faced hardships, hunger and persecutions, and it seemed their bodies were wasting but their inward self was constantly being renewed daily because they gave attention to the Word and the Spirit.


If you give more attention to your outward self to feed and care for but neglect your inward self which is more important the result would be -- outwardly you would be renewed daily but inwardly you will be wasting away. Don't let that happen to you. This is the reason for being weak spiritually and not able to fulfill divine destiny. You see, you need more than food.


The Lord Jesus said "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."


The Christian is to live by every word that comes from the mouth of God, that is, His spoken word for the now. That is, Rhema. God has a Word that you should be living on for the now situation, circumstance and state of your life. Through fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the Word you can find out. 


CONFESSION


I was born of the Word as a word of God to live on the Word of God. My origin is in the Word, and I give full attention to the ministry of the Word; to live in and live by its wisdom, knowledge and understand, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
