LIFE IS IN YOUR TONGUE

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (NIV)

The tongue has the power of both life and death. This is not only about those who are born again but every man. Every man's tongue has the ability to produce life or death. You can give life or death to things, circumstances or events that has to do with your life. 

It is only wise to choose to use the ability of the tongue for life only. You can carefully choose your words knowing that whatever comes out of your mouth is either life or death. Speak life only. How would you know words that are life? Through the Word. The Word of God is the Word of life, and it cultures your talk. 

One important of aspect of the Word that causes it to have dominion over you is meditating on it. When you meditate on the Word it gains mastery over your thoughts and gives you a vocabulary. When you speak you therefore speak from the Word perspective; and those words are Spirit and life-giving.

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you —they are full of the Spirit and life. 

Your words are Spirit and life when the Word of God dwells in your heart richly dictating what proceeds from your mouth. Your tongue is a tree of life; life is in your mouth. When you speak consistently in consent with the Word you speak life. And you can deliberately do this; speaking life to things, circumstances and happenings around you, effecting and changing things to line up with God's purpose for your life. 

CONFESSION

The Word of God dwells in me richly in all wisdom, knowledge and understanding. My tongue is a tree of life; there is life in my mouth. My Words are of the Spirit and they are active and effective giving life. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
