THOUGH IT SEEMS RIGHT

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death. (AMP)

How sad it would be for someone to go about a project or an endeavour or even marriage convinced that it was all right for him but at the end it was his doom!
There are lots of things that seem right to the senses but at the end it is death, loss or destruction. How many have shipwrecked their lives by following ways that seems right!

This tells us that life is not lived by senses. The things that seems right to the senses might be a disaster in the spirit and cost one his future. God doesn't decide by the outward or physical state of things but spiritual state. And we should function like Him.

One time there was severe famine in Gerar where Isaac was living. Everyone was relocating, and Isaac got ready his luggage to relocate to Egypt. And it seemed right and logical but God stopped him.
Genesis 26:2-3,12-13 The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.

How many have missed divine blessings for following their senses. Though it seem right to your senses and to everyone listen to the Spirit. Before you make that move listen to the Spirit. You find a lady in the church, she is committed to church meetings. You looked at her outwardly and it seems right to your senses, before you make a move listen to the Spirit.

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is death." - the Bible says. Though it seems right listen to God.

PRAYER

Father I refuse to make decisions and live my life by senses. I choose your Word over ways that seems right by the senses. I follow the leading of your Spirit who lives in me and leads me in the way that I should go, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
