NOT ANYTHING TO ANYONE
Matthew 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. (NIV)
Spiritual things are not recognized by a natural man. The blessings of the Kingdom of God doesn't make sense to a natural man. Giving them such things is a waste.
The things we call precious and sacred, and holds in the highest regard are not anything to some people. It's important who you give precious things. Not anything to just anyone.
When Issac blessed Jacob his son, he didn't give him a thing but words. To the natural man that sounds absurd. A father tells his son to cook a delicious meal for him to eat and then he shall bless him. After eating the natural man would be expecting his father to give him properties, riches and the likes as blessing. But Isaac said to Jacob in Genesis 27:28 "May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness — an abundance of grain and new wine."
Jacob left happy and fulfilled knowing that he was made for life; that his entire future was settled. But a natural man would have cursed his father for giving him words instead of wealth. Jesus said in Matthew 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Those words Isaac spoke to Jacob were sacred and were precious pearls. They were the defining factors in His destiny and placing him in the order of the promise God made to Abraham.
As a Christian mind who you bless with your words and to whom you give spiritual precious things, otherwise when they turn from you they will trample them under their feet.
PRAYER
Thank You Lord God for helping me through your Spirit to recognize and treasure spiritual things. Thank You that I hold them in the highest esteem as they truly are. Through them I experience and enjoy the reserved blessings of the Kingdom, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
