YOUR SHIELD, GLORY AND LIFTER

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. (KJV)

If the Lord had not been a shield around us the enemy would have torn us down. The only reason we are still up and running is because the Lord shields us. Our adversary and adversities in life had never given us a breathing space. Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."

The Lord shields us so that no matter what happens we are not knockout. He is our shield, glory and lifter. When trouble and persecution comes He shields us while the trouble and persecution achieve for us a great weight of glory. It is His glory that is revealed in and through us, the more we are hard pressed the more His glory presses out. 
2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Then after we have suffered trouble a little while He restores and lifts us. 1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 

He is your shield, glory and the lifter up of your head. He lifts, that is, He exalts and honour you. If you are going through a tough time right now only keep your focus on Him after a little while He will lift you up; restore you, make you strong, firm and steadfast. Amen.

CONFESSION

Lord you are my shield, glory and the lifter up of my head. I may be hard pressed on every side but I am not crushed, perplexed or in despair, for after a little while you will lift me up; restore me, make me strong, firm and steadfast. Amen.

(NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
