RATHER THAN HINDER THE GOSPEL

1 Corinthians 9:12 If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ. (NIV)

Apostle Paul writing to the church in Corinth said he had right of support from the church having sowed spiritual seed he was entitled to material harvest. 1 Corinthians 9:11 If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?

Material harvest was his right but he did not use the right in order not to hinder the Gospel of Christ. Let's read our theme scripture again. 1 Corinthians 9:12 If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

That tells alot about the heart of Apostle Paul. Would you put up with anything rather than hinder the Gospel of Christ? It's a personal question you have to answer genuinely to yourself. A lot of people do anything and get anything at the expense of the Gospel, but Apostle Paul put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

We all can imitate him. Rather than hinder the Gospel of Christ allow yourself to be cheated. Rather than hinder the Gospel of Christ suffer loss. Rather than hinder the Gospel put up with anything. 

You had a scheduled evangelism outreach, few hours to the outreach you had a call for a business that would take place at the same time of the outreach and it offered huge some of money. Would you postpone the outreach for the business and hinder the Gospel of Christ? Put up with anything rather than hinder the Gospel of Christ. 

You made a pledge towards a church project and prayed that God would supply the money, and when it came you used it for personal project hindering the Gospel of Christ. Put up with anything rather than hinder the Gospel of Christ. 

Don't find yourself being a barrier to the work of God, you are supposed to be an instrument. Don't find yourself being a barrier! Put up with anything rather than hinder the work of God. 

PRAYER

Father I thank You for counting me worthy to be a conduit and an instrument for the furtherance of the Gospel of Christ. I refuse to be a hindrance in any way, rather I am committed to put up with anything. I refuse to be enticed or drawn away but to focus and further the Gospel of Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
