A PURCHASED PEOPLE

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (NIV)

Every Christian is God's special possession. He owns you legally. The Holy Spirit lives you not just for residing sake but that you are His property. You were bought at a price. And God expect you to glorify Him with your body. 

The church is a purchased people. Jesus bought us with His own blood. The church has a price value -- the blood of Jesus.
1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

The blood of Jesus gave us value and significance. We are a purchased people. The One who purchased us has a purpose for us. Living that purpose is what makes us a success. 

John revealed the same truth is the book of revelation. 
Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.

Jesus purchased us from every tribe, language, people and nation of the world for the Father to be peculiar unto Him. 
No one buys what he doesn't need or insignificant. We are something to God. We are His treasured possession. His highest asset; His highest investment. 

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Your responsibility is to declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. 

CONFESSION

I am a temple of the Holy Spirit whom I have from God, He owns me, He bought me at price with the precious blood of Jesus. Therefore I honour and glorify God in and with my body. I declare the praises of Him who called me out of darkness into His marvellous light. Amen.

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd DECEMBER 2023 REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th JANUARY 2024 FORGIVE AS THE LORD FORGAVE YOU Colossians 3:13-14 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (NIV) We should not have offense we cannot forgive. But at times we find ourselves in a situation where forgiveness seems difficult. If we apply our emotions and how hurt we are, it will be difficult to forgive.  BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th OCTOBER 2023 INCREASE IN GRACE AND PEACE 2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,(NIV) God has given everyone of us Grace and Peace in Christ. But how much of them we enjoy depends on our knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. Knowledge here refers to intimate knowledge which comes through relationship. The level of Grace and Peace we enjoy is directly connected to our relationship and fellowship with God. The deeper your relationship with Him the greater your peace and grace.  If you find yourself wanting peace or grace what you need is not prayer but a meditation on the Word and how it relates with you.
