YOU ARE IN THE SPIRIT REALM

Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (NIV)

The Bible declares that you are not in the realm of the flesh but in the realm of the Spirit. By what does this mean? It means your origin is in the realm of the Spirit. Notice 'the Spirit' in the theme scripture starts with a capital 'S' not a small letter as in 'spirit.' Thus the Spirit refered doesn't mean 'spirit realm' as in the spiritual realm. No! It means the Spirit's realm; that is, the arena of the Holy Spirit. 

Simply put, our theme says "You, however, are not in the arena of the flesh but are in the arena of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ."

We belong to Christ. We are where He is. We are in the arena or place of the Spirit. Thus, we should live out in the earthly how we are in the Spirit realm. We are in the place of the Holy Spirit, we do here what we are there. 

The Spirit of God we received changed our allegiance and environment. Though we are in the world we do not belong to it, nor are we part of it. We belong to Christ and belong in Christ.
Galatians 5:24-25 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

We do not gratify the desires and passions of the flesh. We live by the Spirit by living in the Word. We keep in step with the Spirit by heeding to His leading. 

CONFESSION

I belong in Christ and belong to Christ. I am alive in the spirit and function in the arena of the Holy Spirit. Though I am in the world I am not of it. Though I walk in a body of flesh the flesh do not work through me; I do not carry out the desires of the flesh. For I live in the Spirit and keep in step with the Spirit. Amen Hallelujah!
