IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO KNOW, LIVE IT

John 13:17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. (NIV)

The Scripture is for doing. The Word of God is for living. It's not just so should know but so we could live what we know. The Word of God is not merely to enlighten us or get us informed but a light to live by. The Bible is not a mere history book so we could read and know what happened in history. The Bible shows us the life to live.

Our theme scripture says "Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them." -- John 13:17
The blessing is not in knowing but in doing. It's not enough to know, live in the reality of what you know. 

There are people who believe in paying of tithe and the blessings that follows, yet they are not faithful in tithing. There are those who believe in divine health yet they are never healthy for once. They believe in divine healing but when they feel any symptom of illness their first contact is not Jesus but the doctor. Yet they are the ones who complain that the Word of God doesn't really work as it sounds. 
They claim to know but doesn't act by that knowledge. 

The Word of God doesn't operate itself. Just because you know something in the word of God doesn't mean it will automatically happen in your life, no! Not until you act on it. Acting on the Word of God is what produces results.

James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 
Doing what it says makes the Word your experience not just a mental assent. Go beyond agreeing with the Word to doing it, go beyond believing the Word to living it. Living by the Word is faith. Faith and believe are not the same thing. Believe means agreement, faith means action.

Stop complaining that what you believe didn't work, move from believing to faith. Act what you believe, that is faith. 

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus, through my application of your Word I shall produce undeniable results. Thank You for giving me your word to live by. I step up from knowledge to action, from believing to faith, and by your power my faith shall produce results. Amen.
