AN ETERNAL DOMICILE

Acts 17:28 ’For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ’We are his offspring.’ (NIV)

The Word declares that in God we live and move and have our being. If anyone was in doubt whether it actually referred to God then the later part of that verse put any doubt to rest. It says "We are his offspring."
Indeed we are God's offspring; He gave birth to us.

In Him we live, move and have our being (our existence and sustainability). That's a domicile. A domicile is a permanent dwelling. God is our permanent and eternal dwelling. You may wonder how that is. It is by your spirit. Your spirit lives in God, and when you are consistently conscious of this, it affects your physical body and environment, such that your physical body literally lives in God and your physical environment carries God's atmosphere. This is true.

Everyone who is born again was born inside God, but as it is in the physical so it is in the spiritual, not everyone live where their parents gave birth to them. Some Christians do not live in God even though they were born in Him. No one lives in a place unconsciously. If you don't know you are living in God you are not living in God. But we can all live in God. 

The Bible even talks about demons who left their proper dwelling. Jude 1:6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling —these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

There is a proper dwelling for every of God's creature. Man was formed from the earth, the earth is his proper dwelling. The new creature (the Christian) was created in Christ (God), and God alone is his proper dwelling. Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 4:24 and to put on the new self, CREATED TO BE LIKE GOD in true righteousness and holiness.

God is our proper, conducive and eternal dwelling; He is our eternal domicile. Any other place outside God will not be proper, conducive or eternal. Living in love is the evidence that we live in God.
1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

And beautifully we not only live in God He also live in us. And we too are His eternal domicile. Glory Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I was created in Christ Jesus to be like God in true righteousness and holiness as I am today. God is my domicile; my proper, conducive and eternal habitation, I was created to live in Him. Indeed in Him I live and move and have my being now and forever. Amen Hallelujah!
