IT'S ABOUT THE NATURE

Matthew 7:15-17 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (NIV)

A good tree bears good fruit but a bad tree bears bad fruit. It's not about a desire but a nature. There are people who come in sheep's clothing, pretending or trying to be good but at the end they still express their evil nature. A nature could be hidden but not for long; it can't be denied its expression. 

When you find people who express bad or wicked character don't think for a moment that they can change, nor believe them when they say they have changed, no! Unless you prove them through the Word of God. Only the Word changes a person. Until a man is born of God's Word he cannot understand nor express the mind of God.

You don't have to keep complaining about people who are mean, unreasonable and wicked. If you had a boss who is inconsiderate and wicked it is not about a mere attitude but his nature. His outward expression is a revelation of his inward condition. If his inward condition is changed his outward expression would change simultaneously.

As a Christian who is filled with the Holy Spirit you can identify where someone's behavior is coming from, whether it's a mere off behavior or something of his nature. If it's a mere off behavior he can get over it with time or with a few talks, but if it is his nature it won't go away with time or few talks. It's only a talk of the Gospel and acceptance of it that changes the nature.

Matthew 7:20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

And when you recognize them preach the Gospel to them, only the Gospel changes the heart. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Precious Lord as we presch your Gospel to the unregenerated may their hearts be opened to believe and be changed in heart. May their nature of sin and wickedness be replaced with your nature of righteousness and love, resulting in changed outward expression. Amen.
