PARTY IN HEAVEN

Revelation 19:7-8 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) (NIV)

When the word "party" is mentioned some people get startled and think immediately of sin and evil, as if every party is an evil gathering. Party simply means feast. A feast is the gathering together of people to eat and drink in celebration of good. Jesus attended a wedding feast or you can call it wedding party or reception.
John 2:1-2 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

The Bible talks about the wedding of the Lamb Jesus and His church. And that after the wedding there will be reception, party or feast. Any of these words fits. The Bible calls it the wedding supper but it could also be called the wedding party. There will be a party in heaven my brother. There will be eating, drinking and merrying. Heaven is not going to be boring; we will have fun.
Revelation 19:9 Then the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!" And he added, "These are the true words of God."

The wedding supper or party are the true words of God. The Lord Jesus Himself said that many will come and take their places at the feast. 
Matthew 8:11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

The feast He referred to is actually the wedding supper or party of the Lamb, where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be seated on high tables. Glory! 
What a day that would be! We should look forward to the glories, exciting moments of celebration and enjoyment that awaits us in heaven. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank You Father for the upcoming wedding supper of the Lamb and the privilege to be a part of it. Thank you for the people that will come from the east and the west to take their places at the party with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as we celebrate and enjoy your grace, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
