ONLY THE WORD CLEANSES THE HEART

John 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. (NIV)

In the world we have cleansers for various things. We wash and clean our clothes with washing machine. We clean our shoes, furnitures and others. We do this from time to time because from time to time they get strained. But there is nothing in the world that can clean the heart from strains and corruption except the Word. Only the Word cleanses the heart.

The dirts of the heart are listed in Mark 7:21-22, "For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come —sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly."
What can cleanse one's heart of these dirt except the Word? Only by the washing with water through the Word.

Ephesians 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
The Lord Jesus washed the church with water through the Word, and only through the Word shall we be kept clean. He said in John 15:3 "You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you." And it is so important that you keep hearing His Word to remain clean.

If you find yourself saying things you shouldn't, be sure to examine your heart with the Word. If you consistently utter wrong words or speak contrary to what the Word says concerning you it is an indication that your heart requires cleansing. And you will do well to give attention to the Word because only the Word cleanses the heart. 

When people speak rash, unkind and evil words it is only an indication of the dirt in their hearts --- out of the heart comes dirty thoughts. Such people requires the heart cleanser - the Word. When you find such people don't judge or criticize them, teach and direct them to the Word which cleanses the heart. Remember you were once like them but you were washed and justified. 
1 Corinthians 6:11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

CONFESSION

The Lord Jesus has washed and made me clean by the Word He has spoken to me. I have been washed, sanctified and justified in His Name. For I am washed by the washing with water through the Word, and I remain clean. From my heart comes holy, gracious, kind and thankful words, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this.
