YOU ARE SACRED

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; FOR GOD’S TEMPLE IS SACRED, and you together are that temple. (NIV)

The Bible declares that God's temple is sacred and that you are that temple. You are sacred. 
Sacred means God-filled, holy and set aside unto God's use. The physical temple in the old testament was called holy, the furnishings and articles in it were called holy because they were set aside unto God's use and His presence was on them. Read this scripture and take note of the word "HOLY." Numbers 4:15 "After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the HOLY furnishings and all the HOLY articles, and when the camp is ready to move, only then are the Kohathites to come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the HOLY things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the tent of meeting.

Over here in the new testament, we are the true temple of God. And everything inside us and around us (our belongings) are holy, sacred and set aside for God's use. Our opening verse clearly and rightly states that we are God's sacred temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; FOR GOD’S TEMPLE IS SACRED, and you together are that temple.

When you got born again you were born sacred, holy and set aside unto God, and not only so, you are continually being sanctified and cleansed through the Word. 
Jesus prayed that the believers should be sanctified by the Word because only the Word sanctified continually. John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
And again He declared that they were already clean through the Word He has spoken to them.
John 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

Yes, you have already been sanctified in Christ; made holy, sacred and set aside unto God, yet you will have to be cleansed continually through the Word as you learn, meditate and speak it forth. 
As a child of God you are sacred, holy and sanctified unto God, and you are to continue to live in this light by living in the Word. 

PRAYER

Father I am grateful that I am your temple, in which your Spirit dwells. I am holy, sacred and set aside unto you for your glory. Thank You Lord that I am sanctified by the Word, cleansed, made holy and ready for the Master's use by the working of your Spirit in and through me. Amen!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this.
