JUDGE NOTHING BEFORE THE APPOINTED TIME

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (NIV)

This above scripture is very instructive and we will do well to heed to it. Judgment is of the Lord and He has appointed a time for it.
Some people do not resist the prompting to judge others. You have to resist that intuition or impulse to judge others.

When the Bible says not to judge that is not the say thing as not to say anything when you see something that is wrong. If you see someone doing what is wrong you are free to correct the person but don't condemn him. The Bible didn't say don't talk or say anything when you see what's wrong rather it says don't judge. To judge means to decide, to pass judgment -- to condemn. Don't decide the punishment or condemnation that would come to someone because they do wrong or live wrongly. That's not in your position. Leave that to God. Wait until the Lord comes.

Let us read our theme scripture again. 1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

At the judgment which the Lord Himself will bring about there will be praise (reward) for those who live in God's will. All these are in the place of God not man. Don't threaten anyone with hell. Don't say "you will go to hell if you don't repent." The Master Jesus didn't send us to preach that. That's not the Gospel; that's not a good news. You say to the fellow "Jesus went to hell for you so you won't have to go there, accept Him today and receive His life." This is good news.
When you tell someone he will go to hell, you are judging him. You are deciding his eternal destination. Judge nothing before the time, wait until the Lord comes.

Guard against the attitude of judging others. At times you might not be conscious of the implication of what you say about others; that you are actually judging them. You might feel you are taking side with what is good not knowing that you are indirectly saying "I am better than you, the consequences of your wrong will soon find you out." Monitor this attitude about yourself and stop it. The Bible says "Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God." -- 1 Corinthians 4:5.

CONFESSION

I leave judgment to God. I am sent to preach the good news of the Kingdom that Jesus Christ has been condemned for man, so that man would be justified in Him. I refuse to sit in judgment on others. I choose rather to guide those going astray through the light of God's Word enabled by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
