LIVE BECAUSE OF HIM

John 6:57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. (NIV)

The Lord Jesus lived because of the Father and He said the one who feeds on Him will live because of Him. Living because of the Father meant He lived for the Father. He said and did what the Father would. He preached in Capernaum, Jerusalem, Samaria because the Father would. He healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, raised the dead, cast out devils, preach the Kingdom, forgave sins and showed love in the place of the Father; He did exactly what the Father would.

Today, the Lord Jesus charge us who feed on Him to live because of Him. We shouldn't live for ourselves, do things as we want but as He wants. We are to speak and do things in His stead, doing what He would. And that actually tells that our life is not ours but His. If we live for ourselves we will be judged.

2 Corinthians 5:15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
This scripture clearly states that we are not permitted to live for ourselves because Jesus died our death and gave us His life. Consequently we can only live as He would because it is His life. We struggle when we try to live His life our way; it is His life and should be lived His way. He lived because of the Father we should live because of Him. 

Maybe you wouldn't have travelled to the north but you did because of Him. Maybe you prefer to live in an Urban city but because of Him and the assignment He gave you to fullfil you are living in a rural area. That's what it is to live for Him or because of Him, and it is living beyond yourself. That's when you say "Lord not my will but your will be done." 
And everyone of us should get to that place where we no longer live for our will and desires but His will, desire and design.

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus I re-devote my life to live for you. You died and rose again for me that I might have and live your resurrected life. I choose to live everyday of my life because of you; through your wisdom I will say and do what you would, living in your stead and bringing glory to your name. As you lived because of the Father I live because of you today and always. Amen!
