HOLY SCRIPTURES -- GIVEN BY GOD

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV)

Scriptures means written scripts. Or what is written. The Bible is written scripts. But who wrote it? Only the Bible can tell us who wrote the Bible, that's the truth. The Bible has outlived generations, ethnics, wars, oppositions and more. It is abundantly written in the Bible that God is the Author of the Bible. The Bible is called the Holy scriptures. 

Our theme scripture says "All Scripture is God-breathed...." 2 Timothy 3:16-17. God-breathed means God breath His Spirit into it. In other words, it means the Scriptures came to be by God's Spirit. And Peter by the Spirit explains this. In 2 Peter 1:20-21 he says "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."

The Holy Scriptures came about by the Holy Spirit through men. He used men to write the scriptures. Men wrote as they were inspired, empowered and carried along by the Holy Spirit. Settle this in your heart; the scriptures came from God, and it is a communication of God's will, purpose and works. 

The scriptures is for a purpose. The Bible says it is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that we may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Only the scriptures teaches us how to serve God, love God and man. Only the scriptures tells us what is to come and how to prepare for it. The scriptures is God's voice and guide for man. And it is God's only provision for true relationship and fellowship with Him. The scriptures is indeed God-breathed and God-given, and we will do well to pay attention to it. 2 Peter 1:19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

PRAYER

Thank You Father for given us the scriptures to inform, educate, guide, instruct, train and empower me to live the life you intend and made ready for me to live. I give attention to it to be trained in righteousness to live out your will and reproduce your works in the earth, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice. Many voices may come to your ears but you would choose which to turn your ears to you.  You would hear voice of fear, doubt, failing, uncertainty, faith, assurance, victory, riches but deliberately turn your ears to what you want to hear.
