REPAY EVIL WITH BLESSING

1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. (NIV)

Living in a world where evil and wrongs are practiced and tolerated don't be tempted to do to people what they do to you. Don't repay evil with evil or insult with insult. God has a reason, the Word says "...because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing." 
You have inherited a blessing, bless and do not curse. 

People will push you to the wall, to that extreme where your tolerance and patience is tried but don't yield or condescend to their level of insults and evil. Live about it, and the way to live about it is by repaying evil with blessing. 

The Lord knows how the people of the world are, yet He sent us among them. He said they are like wolves. Matthew 10:16 "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
You cannot be innocent if you repay evil with evil, and insult with insult. Live about it!

He has called us to bless, so irrespective of what people do against us we should bless them. This does not mean when we are persecuted and the Lord provide a way of escape or victory for us that we shouldn't accept it. It also does not mean when people set themselves against the Gospel we should let them have their way. No! It means when people do you wrong or insult you forgive them and bless them.
Luke 6:28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Another reason that we should not curse is that there is so much power in our tongue. If we curse those who wrong or curse us they are cursed, and that would make their lives miserable. Bless and do not curse.

PRAYER

Precious Father you have called me into blessing, and I have inherited blessing and honour from you. Therefore I bless only, I refuse to curse. You have granted me the attitude and grace to forgive those who wrong or insult me, I forgive, I bless, I do not curse, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice.
