MIND GOVERNED BY THE SPIRIT

Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (NIV)

Every individual has one mind, no one got two. And the mind is very crucial and instrumental to one's success, joy, peace and prosperity in life. The mind could either be governed by the flesh or by the Spirit. The mind doesn't really function in isolation; it functions either by the flesh or the Spirit.

The mind does not function without information. So it rely on the flesh or the Spirit for information to function by. When the flesh governs the mind and supplies it with information, the Bible says "it results in death." But if it is governed by the Spirit and receives information from the Spirit it produces life and peace. It is important that you allow the Spirit to govern your mind if you are going to be productive in the things of the Kingdom and successful in life. 

When you find people who get unsettled and upset about spiritual things and the Gospel of Christ it is an issue of their minds. Their mind is governed by the flesh. Such mind the Bible says is hostile towards God. 
Romans 8:7-8 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

Those whose minds are governed and controlled by the flesh cannot please God even if they are born again. The only way for one's mind not to be governed by the flesh is to be governed by the Spirit; the mind must be governed by either one. Galatians 5:16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

And the only way to have the Holy Spirit govern and control your mind is to let the Word of God dwell in you richly and continually. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

As you fill your heart and mind with the Word of God you will make it consistent for the Holy Spirit to govern and control your mind, and as He leads you in the Word walk in it. When you walk in the Word as inspired and led by the Holy Spirit you will experience life and peace. 

PRAYER

Dear Father thank You for giving me your Spirit. I choose to allow your Spirit govern my mind and control me from within, leading me in your perfect will for me. I walk by the Spirit continually and I do not gratify the desire or yield to the control of the flesh, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice. Many voices may come to your ears but you would choose which to turn your ears to you.  You would hear voice of fear, doubt, failing, uncertainty, faith, assurance, victory, riches but deliberately turn your ears to what you want to hear.
