AN OFFERING AND SACRIFICE TO GOD

Ephesians 5:2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (NIV)

The Lord Jesus truly gave His life as an offering and sacrifice to God. But what kind of offering was it? What kind of sacrifice? It was a sin offering. Romans 8:3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be A SIN OFFERING. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,
It was a sacrifice for sins.
Hebrews 9:26,28 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Some think or believe that Jesus' death was a sacrifice or ransom paid to satan to secure the freedom of man. But that's not true and it is not in the Bible. Jesus' sacrifice of Himself and offering of Himself was to God for us sins. Man sinned against God not satan, man owed God not satan. Read our theme verse again and take note of whom the offering and sacrifice was to. Ephesians 5:2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Jesus is an adequate sacrifice and offering to God for our sins. By His sacrifice of Himself we are sin-free and made the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

We don't have sin-problem anymore. We only need to give vent to God's righteousness as the expression of His righteousness that He has made us. 

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus I am grateful for the sacrifice and offering of yourself for my sins which is forever adequate. Therefore I live in the light of the sin-free life you have brought me into. I confess in agreement with the Father that I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Through the help of the Spirit I give full expression to righteousness. Amen!

THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM Wisdom will begin to work in and through you and produce results when you fear the Lord. Yes wisdom begin with the fear of the Lord. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. WISDOM DO GOOD We already know that wisdom is known for its deeds. Wisdom is no wisdom if it is not practiced. True wisdom is practicable.  One of the marks of wisdom is good deeds. A wise man does good. It takes loyalty to wisdom (God's Word) to do good. God's Word teaches us to do good. THE WONDERS OF WISDOM chapter 4 episode 1

TURN YOUR EARS TO WISDOM Everyone listens to a voice or voices. Voices comes to one's mind through three main sources. The flesh, satan and God.  The flesh would speak to you based on impulses, emotions and sight. Satan deceitfully speak to people through their flesh, desire and even perversely quoting the Bible. Then God speaks to us through His Word.  None of these voices forces you to listen to or obey it. The flesh cannot force you to listen and obey its voice, satan cannot, and God would not. Listening to any voice that comes to you is a choice. Many voices may come to your ears but you would choose which to turn your ears to you.  You would hear voice of fear, doubt, failing, uncertainty, faith, assurance, victory, riches but deliberately turn your ears to what you want to hear.
