TESTIMONY IS SIGNIFICANT
Revelation 12:11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (NIV)
This scripture refers particularly to the testimony of the Gospel of Jesus. The Lord Jesus commands us to testify about His death, burial and resurrection. -- John 15:26-27. By the blood of Jesus we have triumphed over satan, sin and the world. When we testify about Jesus' death, burial and resurrection the resultant effects and victories are manifested unto us afresh.
That being said and explained above, testimony in Revelation 12:11 also means that we overcome when we testify about the good things He does for us. Hence such testimony is very important; you get much more than what He has done for you already when you testimony about it.
Testimony is significant. Ten men with leprosy came to Jesus and pleaded with Him to heal them. The Lord said to them "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. But only one came back to testify.
Luke 17:12-14 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.
Testimony is praises to God. When we testify before people what He has done for us it is praises unto His Name.
Luke 17:15-18 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him —and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?"
The Lord Jesus asked about the other nine, He expected them to come back to testify. God expects our testimony. When He does something for us He expects us, first, to thank Him, secondly to tell others about it for the praise of His Name, and to inspire faith in those who heard us. Testimony is significant; testimony is a testament. Always testify.
The Lord Jesus declared words unto this man who came back to testify which the other nine didn't receive.
Luke 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Others got healed but this man got more than healing. He was made whole. Whole in this verse means total restoration and wellbeing; spiritually, materially, emotionally and prosperity.
When you testify you get much more, so make testimony your habit.
PRAYER
Precious Father, thank You for all you have made me and given me though Christ, and thank You for their continuous manifestation. I testify today that you have made me great, righteous, victorious, successful and prosperous by Christ Jesus. I testify of your goodness, kindness and grace in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
