GOD WANTS YOU TO HAVE POSSESSIONS
Exodus 3:21-22 "And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed. Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians." (NIV)
Possession here on earth are tools for doing the work of the Kingdom and also a testament of God's blessing upon His people. God wants you to have possession. Contrary to what some people erroneously believe possession or property is not a sin. It is how you acquire your property and what you do with them that makes it a sin or not. And you can't have too much properties or possessions if you know what it is for; they are tools for doing the work of the Kingdom. If you have a landed-property it is to propagate the work of God whether or not you use it for personal or church building.
Some people think because they want to go to heaven it's not necessary to build a house or buy a car or own other properties. The houses, cars and other things here are for use here on earth not in heaven. When you get to heaven you will find heavenly properties. Use earthly things for Kingdom work here on earth. You need a house, mobility and other properties, not only for tools for the work but also a testament of His blessings upon your life.
When God was about to bring the Israelites out of Egypt He told them they would not leave empty-handed, they had to plunder the Egyptians for properties.
Exodus 3:21-22 "And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed. Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians."
When He brought them out of Egypt He gave them the promised land and everything in it as their possession. He wanted them to have properties here on earth.
Deuteronomy 1:8 See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the LORD swore he would give to your fathers —to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob —and to their descendants after them."
Don't follow the error of some people. Acquire properties as much as you can, and make sure you leave inheritance for your children. Look at Abraham, Isaac and Jacob our fathers of faith. They were not only rich and had properties but left so much as inheritance for their children. Do the same!
CONFESSION
Precious Lord I recognize that it is your will that I should have properties and use them as tools for the work of the Kingdom. I refuse to be small, I am big and therefore I do big things and own big things, as tools to propagate the work and also as a testament of God's unconditional blessings in my life. Amen Hallelujah!
