LIFE IS NOT DEFINED BY WHAT YOU HAVE


Luke 12:15 Speaking to the people, he went on, "Take care! Protect yourself against the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot." (MSG)


So many people pride themselves in what they have. They so glory in what they have that what they have have them. When they start talking it won't take long before they start telling you what and what they have and have achieved. They want you to know so you can define their value by them, and respect them because of what they have. But the Lord Jesus said "Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot."


Don't be like those who measure people with things. For example if you were invited to an event, the moment you gets in they would examine your dressing if it's expensive or not. Some would even go as far as to check the kind of car you came in with. These are people of senses who have no true sense of value, they erroneously think that life is defined by what one has. 


If people begin to regard you because of what you have, be careful, resist them, don't let them put you into such bracket, it doesn't end well. Let people love and regard you for who you are not for what you have. Your life would be preserved this way. And also you would easily be able to tell those who are sincere in their judgment about you. Those who relate with you based on who you are and not by what you have are those who can tell you the truth about you. Anyone who loves and regards you because of your possessions is a deceptive person. 


Let us read again Luke 12:15, and it says 'Speaking to the people, he went on, "Take care! Protect yourself against the least bit of greed. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot."'


Those who pride themselves in what they have have greed. You have to protect yourself against greed and pride. Even if you have a lot don't let it control you. Don't let it define you; how you behave, how you talk and what you do. 


PRAYER


I refuse to let pride, greed or arrogance control me. I recognize that my life is more than what have or don't have. Father I am grateful for what I have and what I am yet to have. I keep my focus on you the One who blesses me and daily loads me with benefits, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Chapter two INSPIRATION Another thing you will find on your way to the Top is inspiration. Inspiration means an arousal or being stir up from within to take an action or embark on a course. If you don't have it getting to the Top is impossible. You will rely on inspiration to go higher and higher in life. If you are not inspired or stirred up from within to be about anything don't venture into it, it might fail. If you are not inspired to get to the Top in your endeavor, career or profession you may never get there.
