SACRIFICE CHANGES NARRATIVE
2 Kings 3:27 Then he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him as king, and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. The fury against Israel was great; they withdrew and returned to their own land. (NIV)
Sacrifice changes narrative. Sacrifice is giving or offering to God something of great value, relevance and high cost; it is an exchange for something greater or use to make a great demand of God. Sacrifice is also define as what you give or offer to your fellow man that is beyond your natural ability, you do it not because you are able but because it is of high necessity and has high stakes that you could not not offer it.
God looks a sacrifice, He regards sacrifice. If one who doesn't love God offered a great sacrifice in the sight of God it could still change the narrative.
The Israelites fought against Moab and were defeating them until the king of Moab sacrifice his son was to succeed him as king. And the narrative turned against Israel.
2 Kings 3:26-27 When the king of Moab saw that the battle had gone against him, he took with him seven hundred swordsmen to break through to the king of Edom, but they failed. Then he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him as king, and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. The fury against Israel was great; they withdrew and returned to their own land.
If there has been a narrative in your family that you want to change, or a narrative in your own personal life which you have probably tried all you could to no avail, try sacrifice. Give to God something that cost you and of great value, and that could just be it.
Your next level in your life could just be a sacrifice away. There is the sacrifice of giving, there is the sacrifice of praise, there is the sacrifice of service. You can give all to God and change the narrative of your life. Sacrifice changes narrative.
PRAYER
Lord I may not have so much to give or offer but I will give all that I have; I will give my time, possession, praises and services as sacrifice unto you. It might not mean much but I will give what cost me to change the narrative of my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen!
