TURN YOUR CHALLENGES INTO PRAISES
Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (NIV)
Prophet Habakkuk wrote down this inspiring scripture. In the midst of the situation the people of God found themselves at the time he refused to be overwhelmed and weighed down. He said "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior."
In this life we will always have challenges to face, and facing them with the right attitude is what makes the difference. Habakkuk could have given up hope, but instead he turned his unpleasant situation into praises to God. He praised God not because of the things that weren't in place but a duty he must fulfill.
Our duty in any situation; pleasant or unpleasant is to give praise and glory to God. You can turn the unpleasant situation into praises.
Praising God in the midst of good things and pleasant situation is one thing and it's easy, but to praise God in the midst of seemingly disadvantage and unpleasant situation is difficult but a proof of one's genuine praise of God. Anyone who praises God when things doesn't look good can praise Him all his life. It is wisdom to praise God in the midst of the storm. If we are taken away by the storm, at least we are taken away in the midst of praising Him.
As Habakkuk praised God in the midst of a difficult time, he received prophetic words which he proclaimed. And those words changed his outlook on his situation and began to see God enabling him.
Habakkuk 3:19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.
As you praise God in the midst of challenges, first you will receive prophetic words and as you proclaim those words it will change your outlook on the situation and eventually change the situation. Don't complain, it doesn't change anything. Instead turn your challenges into praises. Praise Him for His goodness, mercy, love, kindness and grace.
CONFESSION
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. For the Sovereign LORD is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights.
