AS IS THE HEAVENLY MAN

1 Corinthians 15:48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. (NIV)

When the Bible says earthly man it means the first creation, which is the first Adam. And it also means the man from the earth. When it says the heavenly man, it refers to Jesus, the second and last Adam, the man from heaven. You can see that there is distinction between the two. One from the earth, the other from heaven. And obviously their features and functions differs.

When you were born into this world by your parents you were born in the order of the first Adam, and your origin was earthly. But having been born again you are born after the second and last Adam, Jesus Christ. And you are heavenly as He is heavenly. This means your origin and citizenship is in heaven. The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 15:48 "...and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven."

How is Jesus the heavenly man?
In John 3:31 the Lord Jesus Himself said "The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all."
Two points to note in this verse. First, He is from above, that is He came from heaven. The second point, He is above all. That means He is above everything; devils, their works, men, principalities, powers, dominion and anything else.

John 8:23 But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
And as is the heavenly man so are you in this world. Like Jesus you are from above and you are above all. Walk in this consciousness. Think, talk and act this way. Carry out your dealings as one from heaven. 
Live in God's righteousness as God's righteousness, giving expression to His kindness, goodness, blessings, power, glory and victory.

PRAYER

Precious Lord Jesus thank You for making me as You are. Like yourself Lord have you made me a heavenly man, and therefore I am above all; above devils, their works, men, principalities, powers, dominion and everything else. Thank You Lord! I live in this light as one from above and above all. Amen!

WISDOM KEEPS YOU FROM ADULTERY Nothing destroys a man or woman than sexual immorality, and more so adultery. But if you heed to wisdom it will keep you from this.
