A DRASTIC CHANGE -- JOSEPH

Genesis 40:14-15 But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon." (NIV)

A man's life and story could change just in a moment. You probably have read about Joseph in the Bible, how his own brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt. When he got to Egypt, things were looking good for him even as a slave to Potiphar. One day Potiphar's wife spoilt things for Joseph because he refused her advances to go to bed with her. She laid rape accusation against Joseph which led him to prison. He was imprisoned indefinitely without any trial or chance of defense. 

In prison, the Bible says the Lord was with Joseph. And that is because Joseph was also with God. One day the king's officials who were imprisoned because they offended the king both had a dream the same night with different meaning to each one's dream. Joseph put his gift to work and interpreted their dreams for them. One's dream was favourable the other's wasn't. Joseph earnestly pleaded with the one whose dream was favourable to try and get him out of prison but he forgot about Joseph until after two years when Pharaoh had a dream which no one could interpret. 
Genesis 40:14-15, 23 But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon." The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.

But a change was coming to Joseph. Pharaoh had a dream and no one in the entire land could interpret it. The cupbearer who Joseph interpreted his dream in the prison remembered about Joseph and spoke to Pharaoh about him. Pharaoh immediately summoned Joseph and he was brought out of prison. 
Genesis 41:14-16 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it." "I cannot do it," Joseph replied to Pharaoh, "but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires."

Joseph by the help of God not only interpreted Pharaoh's dream but also prescribed a perfect solution to the problem the dream projected. And Pharaoh made him the Prime minister of the land of Egypt, putting him in charge of everything in the land. It was a drastic change for Joseph. The night before that day Joseph slept in prison but from that day onward he slept in the palace. The night before he was a prisoner but from that day he became the Prime minister. Your drastic change is coming. It doesn't matter where you are right now, it doesn't matter where you slept last night. From this day onward your story has changed.
Genesis 41:39-41 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you." So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt."

God is putting you in charge. 

PRAYER

Precious Father I am grateful for my life. You know where I am in my life journey. Take me Lord to the next and higher level. May my change be drastic, quick and glorious. May my testimony be loud. You who changed the story of Joseph you are still changing stories today, change my story, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Chapter two INSPIRATION Another thing you will find on your way to the Top is inspiration. Inspiration means an arousal or being stir up from within to take an action or embark on a course. If you don't have it getting to the Top is impossible. You will rely on inspiration to go higher and higher in life. If you are not inspired or stirred up from within to be about anything don't venture into it, it might fail. If you are not inspired to get to the Top in your endeavor, career or profession you may never get there.
