UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR HEAVEN
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (NIV)
The conflict between light and darkness will not stop until we leave for heaven. The contentions against the church will not stop until we leave for heaven. Our fight of faith will continue until we leave for heaven. Therefore there is no letting down the guard.
At times when some people experience great victory they think it's all over but the battle cannot be over until we leave for heaven.
The Bible tells us clearly that we struggle, contend not against flesh and blood. That is, they are not human beings. They are spirit beings, spiritual entity, spiritual organization, spiritual body, spiritual forces of evil. And such they don't die. They have been defeated completely by our Lord Jesus but as long as we are here on earth they will throw arrows at us and continue the conflict. But we are forever victorious over them. Hallelujah!
The fight will continue. The battle between light and darkness will continue. And our victory over darkness will continue until we leave for heaven. Some are no longer comfortable with the conflict, they want ease. Your victory over darkness is your ease; maintain your victory by continuously living in God's word. But for the conflict, it will continue and so is your victory if you stay in the Word.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
PRAYER
Thank You Father for making me a victorious and prevailing light. I am a burning and shining light in the Lord prevailing against the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
