GOD'S CO-WORKERS

2 Corinthians 6:1 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. (NIV)

The grace we have received in Christ made us co-workers with God. We not only work for the Kingdom but also owns it. With that, we don't work for God but work with Him. A functioning Christian has the same interest for the Kingdom as God does. Our labour in the Kingdom transcends a desire for reward to a responsibility we owe. 

Our fellow Christians are also our co-workers in God's service. If Christians embrace this fact that we all are about the same business there wouldn't be strife and fighting. Everyone would work for everyone, everything for the common good; the benefit of all.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

God's field and building is the church. Every member is a tree in God's field. Every member is a living stone in God's building. And every member is a worker. We all work together for our common good. You build me, I build you. You grow me, I grow you. And we grow together. We are God's field and building, and we are workers of the same. Everyone needs everyone. And we all need God and are co-workers with Him.

Neither God nor we can do His work without the other. We need Him to do His work and He needs us too.
The field and building grows as each part does its work. God does His, you do yours and I do mine. 
Ephesians 4:16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
1 Corinthians 3:6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

PRAYER

Thank You Lord for the privilege and blessing of being your co-worker. Thank You for working in and through me for the work of the Kingdom. The field and building are yours, and You give growth as we work together, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end. (NIV) An Angel speaking to Zechariah about the birth of John the Baptist and his ministry said many things and one of them was "the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous."
