PRAYER KEEPS YOU IN GOD'S WILL

Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (NIV)

Jesus during His days on earth prayed often, first for fellowship with the Father, second to keep Himself in God's will and purpose. His personal prayer to God was not of needs. He did not ask God for things. Understanding and committing oneself to this higher purpose of prayer is paramount to filling divine purpose.

Your prayer life should be much more than a means to ask things from God. You won't even enjoy the pleasure of praying if it's always about your needs. Just spend time talking to God about His goodness, mercy, love and blessings in your life. Worship, listen and enjoy His presence. Pray often in other tongues. Doing these keeps you in His will.

This is one of the reasons when you are praying to God about a particular thing He would talk to you about something else which is consistent with His will for you at that time more than what you are praying for. So it's important you pay attention to His Spirit as you pray. He might lead you to pray in a way that line up with His perfect will for you at the time.

Give yourself to prayer and be flexible and sensitive in your spirit as you pray. Don't set your heart in a direction such that He can't even get your attention to pray as you should at the time.

PRAYER

Thank You Father for the privilege to pray and fellowship with You through the Holy Spirit. Thank You for the blessings thereof. Through my prayers I am aligned and kept in your perfect will for my life, business, marriage, ministry, finance, family, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
