AS HE IS SO ARE WE

1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (KJV)

Reading this scripture blows the mind. The natural man would never accept its truth. Many would argue, 'how can you say we are as Jesus is?' But it's right there in the Bible. It's the Word that says so. Another reason people don't agree is that they don't really know how Jesus was when He walked this earth. 

How was Jesus when He walked this earth? How different was His physical appearance from the people of His day? Physically Jesus was no different. He ate like everyone else, drank water, used toilet. Jesus was tired like everyone else, He was tempted, He was hungry, His clothes were dirty and He washed them. He was born a little baby and grew to become a man like everyone else. If Jesus walked the earth today He won't be any different from you physically.

We are like Jesus today and even the glorified Jesus. There is a difference between the crucified Jesus and the glorified Jesus. The crucified Jesus died for sin and buried in sin, but the glorified Christ was raised in righteousness as our righteousness. He is the salvation and righteousness that sprang from the earth. Isaiah 45:8 "...Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the LORD, have created it.

The crucified Jesus paid for our sins, the resurrected Jesus gave us righteousness. He is the head of the church, which is His body. We are in the order of the glorified Christ. As He is in heaven right now so are we here on earth right now.
1 Corinthians 15:48 ...and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven.
Praise God forevermore!

CONFESSION

I was raised together with Christ to newness of life. Now my life is hid together with Him in God far above all contraries. He lives in me as He is, consequently as He is so am I in this world. Glory!

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning.
