THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST

1 Corinthians 10:4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. (NIV)

The Israelites journeyed in the wilderness, drank from a rock twice, but did not know that the Rock was Christ. How telling this is! God does amazing and profound things seamlessly. How could the Almighty God manifest in a Rock? That's why He is God. 
Exodus 17:6 I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Water did came out of it. It was a spiritual drink (water), which means it was not an earthly water but the Israelites did not read any spiritual meaning to it. To them it was just another water but it was not.
At times we take for granted the supernatural things that happen with us and around us. If only we apply spiritual insight we would gain even more. That Rock they drank from was actually Christ. Think about it!
Numbers 20:11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.

Don't take for granted the things the Spirit of God leads you to do, you don't know what is actually involved beyond the physical. There was something more to Moses' staff, David's sling and stones, the widow's oil. So when you receive a spiritual instruction apply spiritual insight; there is something more to. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Holy Spirit I thank you for the things you guide and lead me to do. I apply spiritual insight to every of your instruction making the most out of them; enjoying the full benefits there of, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
